The vessel began its life as hull # 29 , a Gulfstar, 60.This was purchased as a shell with a hollow keel by the present owner who has designed and built the cabin as a two stateroom vessel, with an engine room with workspace that makes sense.There is an abundance of storage space designed into this vessel as a result of great planning and a reduction of staterooms over the original floor plan.The galley has been expanded and has a great deal of refrigerator freezer storage.There is a washer dryer combination unit installed beyond the galley.The original portholes have been replaced and relocated to suit the design, and the trim and finish needs to be completed There is also some trim to be done around the hatches, as new cedar has been installed on all the ceilings, and needs trim. The forward shower is installed, and needs to be trimmed out. The shoal keel weighs in at 30,000 lb and is filled with lead, sealed with resin, and glassed over.This is a great improvement over the original 12,000 design. This vessel is in excellent condition. Yes there are some finish details that need to be done, but with the way this vessel ie equipped, with 102 hours on the engine, and 115 hours on the generator, it has hardly been used. Docked on the west coast of Florida, this vessel needs some open and deep water to operate in the way she was designed to be used. This is the reason for the low hours and the sale.
